Reunited

We have now been in Constanta, Romainia for two weeks!! With the team being reunited we were all so excited to start ministry together.
Being a team double the size has its positive sides, just as well as it brings complications at times. Mostly though, it is a blessing that we can learn new things from each other, because our experiences so far have been so different!
We have had many different ministries opportunities here in Constanta such as: coffee house ministry, afternoon activities with gypsy children and a place for homeless people. We also had a chance to do free street evangelism in the city last Saturday.  Danni and Lea got to talk to a woman who was in deep distress. She was invited to the church, where she only stayed for two minutes and then left.We can do nothing now but pray for her and ask for God to send even more people to meet her.
The second week we went to a village in the north of Constanta called Babadag. Here we joined up with Alin and Michaela, who have a church, and have a ministry focused on bringing turkish gypsy children and families to Jesus. We got to engage in some great ministries including kindergarten teachings, prayer meetings and church services for various ages. The crazy thing is we have been haunted by sickness. Starting on Tuesday the day after we arrived, we had one person come down sick every day after each minisry. But God was (and is) with us and every one is doing much better.  The week has been great for us, even though preheard warnings about not getting our morning showers for some came true. It is one of the most "primitive" places we had seen so far but it was still great - when we had running water...

We have all had such a blessed time. Two more weeks and then we will grace Hurlach with our presence.

Powertool

We found out at the  beginning of this outreach, in Bulgaria, that prayer was a very powerful tool. God revealed this yet again though out all of last week. We planned another prayer walk on Tuesday through the city but this time not only did we pray for the city of Sliven, we also prayed that God would send people
Last day in Sliven, Bulgaria
to us to pray for. Without fail God began sending people our way, with one after the other coming forward to ask for prayer. The people were very open and so hungry to hear about God.  We also spent a few times with the teenage girl's group. On friday we spent a lot of time just praying with them and encouraging them, opening their eyes to catch just a gllimse of how big God is.  We were also able to teach them a few dramas, which they preformed in the church.  Then on our first week we prayed for a lady with breast cancer and this week we found out that she was completly healed, just another amazing story of God's love. Going to Bulgaria wasn't senseless. God really used our team, even though it may not have been entirely in the way we expected. Whether it was visiting widows and praying in the city or doing Yard work and evangelising on the street God had a plan and a purpose. We are so excited to be here in Constanta, Romania reunited with our teammates.
The Finale Phase

Kornelia preaching

Teen girl's small group
Finale Phase startet jetzt...

Roll With the Flow

This week was all about being spontaneous. Many times this week we were told there was a program but that was it. No information was given about who the program would be for or how long it would be, until 10 minutes before we needed to start. However, this is YWAM. This is outreach. This, is MINISTRY. It is all about being flexible and letting the spirit lead. This week we were involved with a church service on Wednesday, girl's small group on Friday, youth service on Saturday and street evangelism on Sunday. So much happened this week that we will just let the pictures do all the talking.

Sooooo Much Time!!

Testimony from Jessica
Our first week in Sliven, Bulgaria started out with a very good plan. In the mornings we would visit the homes of different members in a local Roma church. In the afternoons we would get our hands dirty doing practical work at the house we live in. It started out great.
We visited the people and had blessed moments in their homes. However, heavy rainfall changed our plans, we couldn't work for a couple of days and just set around the house. I asked God why? Why all this time?  He gave me an answer quickly. It was a gift. God was giving us time for ourselves. Our team is characterized by hard-working people and I (Jessica) had the impression, that God wanted to give us more free time than we had planned for this week. God wishes to have a deep relationship with us and this requires that we spend time with him. Many of us have to make important decisions because even the Discipleship training school has an end and most of us need a plan for the time after. We only find God's plan for us when we are silent and listening to God's voice. Therefore there was no reason for any of us to be frustrated. God showed us again that he wants to continue to encourage and reveal things to us through the little things. For this week it meant: Relax and listen to God's voice. And we'll keep this revelation of  "the little things"  in mind for the rest of our time here on outreach.
and women =)
Our group of working men!!
part of the team visited the home of
Ba Ba Keyna.

The Little Things

A quick visit to Spis Castle
When the group first arrived in Slovakia we stood upon the Europa shopping center, over looking downtown Banská Bystrica, we began praying for the city. That day God revealed that worship is powerful and we needed to focus on the little things.  We didn't realize that this would hold true through out our stay. More often then not we saw worship break barriers and a small smile change a life.
Our last week in Slovakia was a blessed one. We traveled to the second biggest city, Kosice were we worked with a church in Sabinov right out side the city. We went to different gypsy villages singing songs, giving testimonies and really just showing them a kind and accepting heart; the heart of the father. We experienced the out pouring of God's love and how a simple prayer of healing can show the power of God.With this being said the team really experienced how God has everything under His control and according to His plan but this story is best told by our Leader JP:

'Well, the team and I are having worship and interession on Wednesday when all of a sudden I start having pains in my back. I think They are just normal pains until it begins to increase and move around to my stomach. Not wanting to alarm the team, I don't say what is wrong, I just go up stairs and lie down but the pain gets worse and worse.  I think okay I should probably go to the hospital and get this checked out. I tell the team what is wrong, we pray and then head to the hospital. On our way to the hospital the team is praying and Martin (our translator) is calling some of his friends asking them to pray too.  When we get to the hospital and my pain just goes through the roof. I'm sweating and can barely stand, the pain becomes too much for me.  Steve Kilbry, from the Slovakia team in Banská Bystrica, also calls the rest of his team back in Banscä, tells them what is going on and has them praying for me. Within 5 minutes after Steve's phone call my pain vanishes. Just completely gone. The doctor still took some x-rays but of course there was nothing wrong. During all of this time Martin is praying for people in the hospital. He comes up to one woman, tells her about the Gospel and the love of God. The lady, accompanied by her son, is having horrible stomach pains, Martin asks if he can pray for her but she doesn't answer. So Martin prays. Just a short but direct, maybe 30 second prayer of healing.  Martin finishes praying looks up and asks "Is it better?" She doesn't answer but tears start welling up in her eyes and trickle down her face. The son, who has been standing there the whole time with a dumbstruck look on his face, asks urgently "Is it better?" The woman just nods. Apparently God really needed us at the hospital that day and he made sure we got there!'

It is so cool how God uses every situation to share his love and show his power to his children.

We want to shout out a special thanks to the Slovakia Base in Banská. They did so much for all of us, probably more than they know.We were very sad to leave Slovakia and the wonderful team there. However, we are excited to be in Sliven, Bulgaria.  Everyone is settling in nicely, enjoying the beautiful nature and ready for God has planned next.

Ciao -The oree family-
Team oree in Sabinov with the leaders of the church

Ciao -The oree family-

POZOR!!!!

Houses with crumbling walls, windows without glass. No electricity or running water. Dusty roads, worn out shoes, dirty faces and often empty bellies. This is normally the picture described when one talks of Africa or India, not Europe. However, this is exactly the world we encountered this past week. Gypsies. This group of people are all over eastern Europe. They are looked down upon, considered insignificant and unimportant but God showed our team once again his great love. He showed us the gifts, talents and love he has for all his children. God showed us how the heart of a gypsy is best revealed through music. We were very blessed as a team to have a "man of peace" Oto Siposovci (a follower of Christ who has received the calling to minister to his own people) join us on our ministry. He allowed our team to gain an immediate connection with all the families. Our team sang songs and then the people would sing a song in their language back to us. The spirit was truly with us, he had the people focused and eager to see our skits and hear our testimonies.  How great is our God!!?

J.P. best of friends with our man of Peace Oto

Team O.R.E.E. was also able to work with the YWAM base here in Slovakia. We helped with the two DTW (discipleship training weekend) they held and even did a bit of practical work for their new base.
Until Next week,

Stepping Through the Wardrobe

This week team O.R.E.E. stepped through the wardrobe into Narnia...the school!! We started this week not really knowing what to expect but during a prayer meeting God revealed how we all needed to focus on the little things.  God was saying "The little things you say or do can change a life." So from Monday through Thursday we were all at the school bright and early.  We gave testimonies, taught in English, German and religion classes. Then at the end of each day we also joined in on clubs, teaching about our countries and playing games. It is amazing to see kids blossom and open up when you make yourself available.  After the first day the children were so eager to listen to how much God loves them, ask questions about what God is doing in our lives and play with us, ALL THE TIME =D  This week God really showed all of us that a simple smile and some crazy dancing, can show the love and acceptance one can find in the love of God the Father.
